Matinee: An ad-free home screen for Google TV and Android TV

About Matinee

Matinee replaces the TV's home screen with one that shows your apps instead of ads and recommendations. The screen takes on the colour of the app you're on, remembers what each app last played, lists your HDMI inputs by the device connected to them, and keeps the time, weather, network and notifications in one top bar. Everything it reads stays on the TV.

What it does

• Your apps in the order you choose, with dark or banner-style cards
• Last played item per app, with cover and progress, when the app shares it
• HDMI inputs named after the connected device over HDMI-CEC
• Time, weather for a city you pick, and a network speed check
• Play Store update and new-device notices behind one bell
• Turkish and English, and an optional Home-button takeover
