- Can More GB empty System Data?
- No. No app can empty System Data or another app's cache, and More GB does not pretend to. It works on your own photos and videos and asks iOS to release the cache it is holding.
- What does it do to my photos and videos?
- It re-encodes large videos to HEVC or brings 4K down to 1080p, rewrites ProRAW photos as full-size HEIC and turns old Live Photos into stills. Nothing changes until you choose it, and every rewrite keeps the date, place, favorite and albums.
- Why does Settings not drop after freeing cache?
- Settings already counts that cache as free, so it shows up as usable free space, not as a drop in the used figure. Deleted items also still count until you empty Recently Deleted.
- What is free?
- The full storage breakdown is free, and so are your first reclaim run and your first photo clean-up. The clean-up tools are part of Pro.
